Another six-month gap in Journal entries, sorry for the delay. Although, in my defense, I have had one or two drunken blog updates since the last entry. Where to begin? I haven't really had the time to write anything in here lately, we've been so busy this year it's hard to remember to breathe sometimes.
My latest solo album Patriot is still doing well, staying steady in sales and fan adoration. The next pressed project I'm working on is the much-anticipated group effort Super Smash Bros, with fellow Slaughterhouser Piker Ryan. This EP is produced entirely by myself and KillJoy, and will be pressed and distributed this August. Official Slaughterhouse releases in the line-up include Savage Anthems 2, chopNskrood 3, Usually Suspicious, Black Mass the Mixtape, Super Smash Bros, MAWK, Under the Influence, and a release from our newest member, who I will release next month on MySpace. I've even got a special treat coming in July, but you don't know shit about that yet, except for this: a Hyper Sniper solo EP, coming to you nearest hard drive, in July 2009. Whoops that cat's out the bag! This is the only time I will mention it before it drops, so all the real fans who check my War Journal will know, everyone else has to wait until the time is just right. This EP is looking like 6 tracks right now, but it's all very tentative. Let that marinate in your head for the next 2 months :D
Previously mentioned, chopNskrood 3 was set to be a group effort by myself and local scratcher DJ Bill Hughes. However, I have once again fell out of contact with him, his MySpace pages are always disappearing and I have no idea why. Regardless, I'm still dropping this album, next month. It's more of what you heard on volume 2, with every track completely chopped and screwed, and features artists that people who like my music will love, including artists from Strange Music, Psychopathic Records and more. This will be full-length, available on a list of free download sites including Rapidshare, Megaupload, Depositfiles and more. Stay tuned on my MySpace page for more information as the situation develops.
Suspicious TV. You've seen it, you love it. You love us. The next episode will be hitting the internet some time next month, so be on the lookout for that as well. We here at the Slaughterhouse have received such a warm welcome for this show, and we're surprised how well it has taken off. Trust me when I say, we are not stopping any time soon. As stated in my drunken update in Las Vegas, I've received quite a bit of fan mail on that show and I appreciate everyone taking the time to check it out. We do this for you!
My friend J-Reezy has been gone the past few weeks on tour with Prozak, on the End of Days tour with Twiztid and others. That dude has had some tripped out experiences on the road! I've had a few people ask me about joining the street team, well, that's the dude that runs the MWSH street team. When he gets back, I'll have him hook you up with some promo material.
Next month I will be announcing the welcoming of a new family member to the Mid-West Slaughterhouse. Who could it be?????
Yesterday I went to go see that new Star Trek movie. I read a bunch of reviews on the internet, and I guess fans of the original series are pissed off at this movie. I never saw any of that original program, so for me, there was no bias going in to it. I thought the movie was dope. It has a rating on IMDb of like 8.5/10, I would say that's pretty accurate. The last movie I saw in a theater before that was Crank 2, that shit was dope as fuck, I highly recommend it. One movie I'm dying to see is Inglourious Basterds, that shit looks dope as fuck. That and of course Halloween 2. What the hell is up with Sin City 2? Fucking slackers need to get their act together. Losers.
